Emergency?

Dental or jaw problems don't always happen during normal business hours.

Should you require emergency service, please call our office and listen to the message for the emergency number to reach the doctor.  There is a dentist and surgeon on-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Payment Policies

Yorktown Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery accepts many major insurance policies. Please bring your insurance card during your visit. In addition, we accept all major credit cards, cash, and checks. We understand our patient's needs.  Payment plans may be set up.

Most insurance plans will have a contract setup with the doctor that pays 80% of the plan's fees and requires the patient to pay the rest plus noncovered services.

We always recommend the BEST individualized treatment for the patient irrespective of what the insurance covers.

2.      A responsible adult (18 years or older) must be with you at the office to drive you home.  The average time you will be in the office is approximately 1 - 2 hours.  This person should plan to stay with you for four to six hours afterwards or longer if necessary, until the medication has completely worn off.

3.      Your judgment and reflexes may be impaired following the anesthetic; therefore, you should refrain from driving a car, operating machinery, or participating in any important business 24 hours following your surgery.

4.      A parent or guardian must accompany anyone under 18 years of age.

5.      Due to the fact that an intravenous (I.V.) will be started in your arm, please wear a shirt/blouse with loose fitting sleeves.  Additionally, monitor leads are attached to the right index finger, shoulders, and side.  Therefore, females SHOULD NOT wear nail polish or acrylic nails on the right index finger.  Due to the need to be supine and your head tilted upward; do not arrange the hair in a ponytail or bun at the back of the head.

7.      Your usual medications should be taken as indicated to you by your family doctor.  Please take them, with just small sips of water, unless you have been instructed not to do so by our staff.

8.      Anesthesia is contraindicated during pregnancy.  For girls and women of child bearing age, please speak up if there is even a CHANCE that you may be pregnant.

9.      If you have a cold or nasal congestion please tell the doctor or staff.  There must be clear breathing for sedation.
